Check out this awesome video about Americans who are making an effort to bike more. What a great way to exercise, save on gas, and help the planet. This is a truly inspiring segment.
In the spirit of conserving energy, check out this microsite on tbs.com: Sharp Lights Out Challenge. TBS and Sharp have partnered to encourage ALCS Game 4 viewers to turn off the lights in their house. Game 4 (Rays vs Red Sox in Boston starts at 8:07 PM EST tomorrow 10/14). If viewers turn off their lights and enter this contest they have the chance to win a Sharp AQUOS LCD TV. The AQUOS is energy efficient, has a new Advanced Power Saving mode, and can adjust brightness level based on the ambient room light to reduce power consumption. What a great prize!
When you are watching Game 4 with your lights off - make sure you are cheering on the Amazing Rays! They are currently leading the series against the Red Sox 2 - 1. My favorite Rays player Evan Longoria just tied the home run record for rookies in the postseason. In tonight's game he hit his 4th home run! In 2003 former Marlin Miguel Cabrera's set the rookie postseason record at 4 home runs after 17 games. Who knows where Longoria where leave the record this year, he's a home run machine!

Fantastic post, especially regarding the bicycles. I hope gas goes through the roof and forces everyone onto two wheels. Thanks for adding me on twitter; I didn't know you'd moved to NYC!
