Obama's Victory

Last night, I watched the election coverage with friends in the lower east side of NYC. We anxiously waited for the results of our two-year presidential race. The final votes were cast, polls closed across the nation and we started celebrating as state after state on the map of America turned blue. Last night the city was overjoyed with excitement and everyone was smiling! After weeks of feeling nervous for my country, worried about our future and concerned about how this election would turn out, I feel a sense of relief and hope.
